Week by week, our volunteers empower thousands of young people to learn new skills, make new friends and stand on their own two feet. They’re our everyday heroes. They shape young people’s lives for the better, and find out a whole lot about themselves in the process, too.

Today, we have over 150 young people on the waiting list to join 1st Wandsworth Scouts. To keep up with demand, we need more leaders and volunteers so we can add extra days and accept more into the pack.  The best way to help your child join is to volunteer your time. Click the button below to request a space on the waiting list and to volunteer your help.

We prioritise admissions in the following order:

1. Succession within 1st Wandsworth (e.g. moving from cubs to scouts).

2. Parents / carers taking on formal volunteering roles.

3. Children in care.

4. Existing scouting members moving into our catchment area.

5. The length of time children have been on the waiting list.

As we do not have a sibling policy please register each of your children separately
