10-14 Years

Build confidence in yourself and develop team work and independent skills.

Scouts aim to build and develop young people’s confidence, a sense of adventure, and outdoor skills, as well as encouraging them to explore their beliefs, attitudes, and to be creative. If offers them the independence to put these skills into practice at camps and even on international trips.

Scout Leaders

Each Troop of 10 to 14 year olds is led by one or two adult Scout leaders. They are fully qualified and trained to supervise activities, keep everyone safe, and share their skills. Beaver Leaders are often nicknamed after characters from nature, books, or films, and sometimes by their real first name. Other adult volunteers are on hand to help and assist the leaders.
